You will find Uforic Food Cafe on the road from Geelong to Torquay – but only if you look carefully. Uforic is part of a complex that also consists of a nursery and unless you notice the sign from the highway, it would be easy to miss the cafe as you drive past.
Uforic looks to me like a cafe that has food as its focus and that coffee is just another part of what appears to be an interesting and varied menu. The coffee was presented in a red cup (what is it with cafes and red cups in this part of the world – there seems to be a lot of them) but sadly, a cappuccino cup (what is it with cafes and cappuccino cups in this part of the world – there seems to be a lot of them). As a result, the crema was satisfactory at best (see picture on our Instagram page).
The coffee tasted quite good but just lacked the “body” and intensity of flavour that might have been more evident in the correct cup.
All in all, a good place to stop for coffee, particularly, I suspect, if you enjoy your coffee made with milk.
